THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS

I can see where we need to do something about our nation’s proclivity for overspending and tend to think that cutting back on big government is the way to go, but was it smart to do it all in one week? Yes, Social security needs to be revamped in order to make it a bit more efficient and that applies to a number of other agencies. We need to quit trying to be the world’s leader in charitable giving. We do need to take care of the elderly, the truly disadvantaged and to some extend those that are just completely unable to care for themselves, however we have to stop giving away the future of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We have someone now that is in a position to point out where our areas of waste are located. We need him to find the culprits, list the things that were done wrong and then let our government representatives make the changes that will cure the problem.

Our president seems like a person who finds a fire, stomps the embers into dust, pours water on the dead embers , then covers the entire campground in concrete. Then he fires all the parks and wildlife personnel and closes the park. I think that is a bit over the top. the changes can be done at a slower rate. If he wants to introduce a new way to finance the operations of our way of life, come up with a plan, explain the plan and then slowly execute the plan so that people are jumping off buildings because their savings are tanking. He has 4 years to show that a new plan might work, he has that time to train his successor so that the plan continues.

Slow and easy is always better than slash and burn. The latter is what causes stampedes.
